Mugen - Akiyama Chronicles, is a story revolving around the life of the youngest racing representative of Japan - Daiki Akiyama. The story will revolve around his life as a racer and an individual owning the conglomerate of his family's wealth, the Akiyama racing school both in and out of the business. Daiki is featured with his prized NISMO 350Z Fairlady Z (Z33) which he used to dominate the Tokyo Shutoku Expressways nightly. His story begins after encountering and defeating one of the underground racing's prime champion, Seiji Tsuchiya where he gets into a battle of pride and principles. Little known to Daiki, there's a hidden message lying under all his battles covered in this story as in one way or another, he's destined to become someone at the extent of the racing world, and his only lead is the power of a past legend which now haunts the living.

• Daiki Akiyama - The protagonist of the series. An overly serious racer with a very analytic mind armed with the perfectly tuned car through his racing school. He drives a Nismo Tuned Z33 350Z Version S (Z-tune modification).

• Seiji Tsuchiya - The people’s favourite; a prideful street racer who never lost a battle; has a professional feud with Daiki that soon escalated to something personal. He drives a Silver Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 GSR MR (FQ-400 modification).

• Shin Ayamazaki - Daiki’s first rival. A young 3rd year high school boy who got his purple custom-tuned Mazda RX-8 type E from someone selling it cheap; fulfilling the requirement that it’ll be his if he gets to 40 street victories; which he fell short off when he met Daiki’s Z. A member of the Anti-Silverblood force.

• Raymond Yamazaki - The Lightning Angel. A very wealthy young tuner who loves the air of battle. He wants to become the man to defeat Daiki but falls short and can’t get past Kazuhiko Aizawa, whom he labelled as his top rival. He mains a White Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-spec II N1 (Mines modification)

• Naoko Takahashi - Vice-President of the Akiyama Racing school who has a crush on Daiki. She was Daiki’s only friend whom he opened up to. She’s Kitana’s sensei in the ARS. She drives a dark green Toyota SW20 MR-2 GT-S (TRD2000GT modification).

• Kitana Tioseco - One of Daiki’s huge fans who enrolled in the Akiyama Racing School at the age of 13. Daughter of a wealthy family driving a Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 at a young age. She had special treatment with Daiki upon her absence from the racing school.

• Claudia Fortescue - Daiki’s love interest who’s related to her great grandfather that once raced with a Silver 280Z, that soon became the feared entity called Silverblood. She died trying to save Daiki from Silverblood’s attempts at extermination. She owns a Porsche Boxster 986 (RuF 3400S tuned)

• Shimizu Ohyama - The founder of the amateur team “Midnight Masters”, asking Daiki’s help in honing them for the professional league. He owns the road version of the R390 GT-1.

• Kazuhiko Aizawa - A famed street racer with his expertise with Rotary Engine cars. He’s Raymond Yamazaki’s top rival. He’s friends with Seiji. He mains a silver Mazda FD3S RX-7 type RS. (RE Amemiya street modification)

• Keiichi Iwata - An associate of both Seiji & Kazuhiko specializing in V-TEC engines for the Wangan; an incognito tuner. He mains a red Honda Integra DC5 type R (modded similar to the 5Zigen Integra)

• Karl Schneider - a German street racer who forms the Anti-Silverblood Task force when Silverblood appeared and wreaked havoc. He nearly lost his life trying to make Silverblood give up. He drives a E46 BMW M3 CSL.

• Santana Swarovski - A French-Spanish racer who chased after Chloe/Claudia despite the rejection back at Germany. He’s Claudia’s ex boyfriend who ended up having the attitude of treating girls like trophies. He drives a 930 type Porsche 911 (RuF Yellowbird) in the web novel but drives a Toyota JZA80 Supra (TRD3000GT modification) on the Speed Legend V Visual Web-novel 5th Episode.
